Ania Korpyta

I paint emotions that cannot be expressed with words. Each painting emerges slowly – a process of layering gestures and meanings. I apply dozens of layers, allowing the structure of the paint to become a record of emotions and a trace of passing time. It is this very process – the slow construction of space – that makes each painting breathe and live at its own rhythm.

I create within the current of organic abstraction and art informel, which fascinates me with its tangibility. Texture is just as important to me as color – I love when a painting can be “read” with the eyes and almost felt with the fingertips. I apply and remove layers, seeking the right balance between chaos and order. I treat color as emotion: sometimes soft and subdued, at other times saturated and full of contrasts.

Each painting is unique, just like the emotion from which it was born. I want my art to be more than decoration – I want it to be a personal experience, a presence within a space.
