Lorenzo González Sánchez

Full professor of drawing and tenured professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Salamanca, the main characteristic of his work is very personal work and vivid colors with cubist shapes.

In Salamanca he studied the Baccalaureate and begins to go to drawing classes. Lorenzo had drawn since childhood as all children do but he is lucky enough to go to the San Eloy School, with the teacher and great painter Mª Cecilia Martín. She made an exception for him by letting him go to her painting class, since the boys generally attended technical drawing class. Later it was the painter Zacarías González, also Lorenzo's teacher in Teaching, who encouraged him to study Fine Arts, which he would do years later.

When he finished high school, he studied Teaching, married Angelines, his girlfriend from Salamanca, and their three children were born.

From 1962, He made his first pictorial first steps, but as what he really wanted was to continue with painting, he first studied in Seville the general courses of Philosophy and Letters, and when he was about to start Art History he went to the Superior School of Fine Arts of Santa Isabel de Hungary . One of his good teachers was the painter D. Miguel Pérez Aguilera, who has already passed away. Lorenzo is especially interested in his subject.
