Mariia Zhuravel

Maria was born in Ukraine and studied architecture at the university . But always she wanted to draw more. After graduating from architecture, she decided to devote her time to art and develop in this direction. Maria draws illustrations to books, portraits, painting and editorial illustration. She worked in the art center, where explored art history. She is freelance artist and she working in his studio now.
For her, capturing a mood or a nervousness, an emotion or feeling and being able to transform it into something visible, physical, or convey an idea that is exciting is very important. Accepting that one can draw imperfectly is also a big part of her creative process.

Maria studied architecture at the University of Water Management and Natural Resources in the city of Rivne.
She studied illustration at Projector. Creative & Tech School. She is currently studying for a master's degree in Memory Studies and Public History.
