Marilyn Green

Born in London, England and studied at the London Metropolitan University, Fine Art, Art History, Design and Interior Design. Travelled 3 years in Asia, Indonesia, Papua-New Guinea, Australia, New Zealand and South America. Since then lives and works in Berlin.
Painting is for me a language. A way without words to express movement, dynamic, stillness, space, atmosphere and nature. My inspirations are from my visual experiences from nature, landscapes and through my travels. I love to experiment while working making every painting unique. There are variations to themes and ideas that I follow, but all are inspired through nature. Through abstraction a dialogue can be created between the viewer and the art work allowing for interpretations that are from their own experiences, imagination or past memories.

Studied at the London Metropolitan University, Fine Art, Art History, Design and Interior Design. Studied Fine Art at the University of Art, Berlin. Scholarship Friedrich-Naumann-Foundation. Graduated M.A. University of Art, Berlin. 1994-2003 Artist Promotion from the Cultural Senate Berlin. 2002-08 Lectured in Colour Theory and Drawing in Perspective. 2017-20 Lectured in Design at the HTK Academy for Design in Berlin. International Group and Solo Exhibitions in Berlin and Germany, London, UK, New York and USA, France, Turkey, Brazil and Israel. Also exhibitions in museums in Berlin, Bonn, Brazil, (14.Internationale Bienniale Brasilien, Museum MESC, S.C. Brazil), New Jersey, USA. Her works are presented at Art Fairs, annually in Gallery Weekend, Berlin. Also in Rendsburg and Nürnberg in Germany. Dallas, USA. Also at Cultural Centers in Berlin, Potsdam, Düsseldorf, Detmold, Istanbul and Ankara, Turkey, Korea and New York and New Jersey, USA. Art Works in numerous private and public collections in Berlin, Germany, London, New Jersey, New York, USA and Brazil.
