Mattia Campo Dall'Orto

I'm a freelance artist using different medium: painting, urban art, installations, calligraphy and artist's books.
My favorite hemes are memory and identity.
I begun as graffiti writer in 1997. For this reason, the dialogue with space, history and local community is extremely important to design site-specific artworks, especially murals or installations.

Graduated "cum laude" in international science and diplomatic relations at University of Trieste, I study urban arts as interesting phenomenon in current society.

Since 2006, I cooperate with the University of Trieste as expert in Cultural Anthropology, researching on urban forms of expression and creativity in contemporary sub-cultures.

Art is not only intended as a particular topic of research of Cultrural Anthropology, but also a social and private way of expression. In fact, urban creative techniques can be useful to improve individual communication potentials, as the relational skills.

In the last decade I worked with public institutions, voluntary organizations, associations to organize cultural projects, leading creative workshops and managing studies or conferences, focusing on contemporary cultures, urban art and future perspectives.

In 2012 I wrote “Bordeline – Arte al confine, arte al confino”, published by CCM (Consorzio Culturale del Monfalconese). Borderline is a unique product about anthropology of art, a 15 years long reflection on Writing and Public Art.
