Mark Laurie

Mark Keith Laurie (born 7 February 1955) is an award-winning Canadian photographer, specializing in female fine art photography and digital photography. He is also an international speaker, author, and studio mentor. He teaches extensively in England, Italy and Canada. He has spent the last 40 years helping women feel great about themselves!

Mark Laurie was born in Didsbury, Alberta, Canada, receiving his education at Henry Wise Wood Senior High School and Mount Royal College in Calgary. He holds a Master of Photography Degree, Master of Photographic Arts (12th bar), Service of Photographic Arts and the highest British award: a Fellowship in the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers as well as being a PPOC Fellow.

Mark holds 4 International Photographer of the Year Awards, has attained the PPOC Photographer of the Year Award in 2017, and holds 64 Best in Class and First in Class Awards – including the prestigious Fuji Master Print and Kodak Photographic Excellence Awards, and the World Photographic Print Competition - Best in Nudes B&W category.He was also presented with the prestigious Yousuf Karsh Lifetime Achievement Award in 2010.
He also has 37 Accreditations in different types of photography ranging from Female Body Sculpture to Canine Portrait to Wildlife to Digital Illustration to Jewelry. There is only 1 other photographer in North America with as many accreditations.
