Mr A Vaoly

I am a young visual artist who started as a graffiti artist, I always loved sketching and drawing so I decided to study art at the Cabañas Institute.

My work is to me a way of life, even when I am not drawing or painting, I am thinking about it. It is part of me.Inspiration can come from all kinds of different sources, I sometimes start creating by drawing lines and it develops into an idea. I like being versatile and so I work with many different mediums (oil painting, colored pencils, India ink, sculpture, etc), I like to change and experiment with new techniques and shapes.

I would say my work is not based on a specific subject matter, that is not my creative process.For me, it is about portraying my ideas in my work as a way to let go of the things that I dont want in my life, it all stays on the canvas.

I believe that each person can interpret my work differently, I prefer to give each person the freedom to understand for themselves what it is they see. After all, as humans we have many shared experiences which allows us to connect to each other´s vision.
