I graduated from Tbilisi State Academy of Art (Georgia) in 1997 as an architect. Along with my architectural activity for the next 20 years, I did not abandon drawing and painting, creating works in those artistic directions that I was interested in studying and developing. Since 2018 I have been devoting all my time and energy to painting, creating my artworks as MZERART.
I work in a mixed technique, using both graphic and fine art methods, continuously experimenting and mixing forms and colours. My main mediums are ink and watercolour on paper. The style of my works is mostly black and coloured graphic drawings and paintings. My artworks are made completely freehand without any preliminary sketching. My painting is unprocessed, I consciously made it «unconscious» in order to free myself and to avoid the works being «the hostages» of the classic painting canons, standards of colours balance and composition, which are often deliberately «ignored» in my works. I mix shapes and colours to go beyond them and see something new and I offer a viewer the possibility to immerse deep in and watch what is happening.
