Nestor Toro

American artist Nestor Toro (b. 1976) is an established artist internationally collected abstract painter known for his bold use of color and complex layering blending chaos and harmony to create works that are held in private collections on 5 continents and over 35 countries. Nestor is inspired by nature and the inter-connectivity of all things.

Nestor Toro is an established abstract painter working and living in Los Angeles. He has developed his unique techniques over the years during which he is continuously innovating to create works with emphasis on bold color combinations, blending, and a gestural style.

Nestor creates each work with no preconceived outcome in mind, preferring to let the technique guide him in creating complex paintings. Working primarily with fluid acrylics along with other mediums, he creates intricate works that lure the viewer in with the complexities of the bold color, pattern, and movement.

Nestor’s abstract style allows the viewer to experience the artwork through the color combinations, brush strokes, and other gestural techniques. Nestor’s artwork is intended to be a visual experience which evoke a feeling of transport from the viewer.

Self-taught after discovering his love of painting while living in Buenos Aires. Nestor spent years experimenting with various mediums learning what they could do and developing his own unique techniques using those materials to create his unique one of a kind works. This allowed him creative freedom combined with his unique use of the materials to create artworks with his distinct and unique voice.

Studio time in UCLA and OTIS in Los Angeles, CA and several studios in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
