Nick Holmes

Born in Chichester, Sussex in 1944. Taught Art in secondary & tertiary education until 2000. Now living & painting full-time in Northumberland. I have a kind of 'you are what you eat' approach. In my work you'll find references to teaching, the films I've watched, the music I've listened to and the artists whose work I've admired and thought important in getting to this point. Painting is like keeping a diary for me. There are usually several layers of image and text to unravel.
