Nicola Lucy

Nicola Lucy is a self-taught British artist in her mid twenties. A scientist by both education and profession, Nicola has always had an eye for detail and a relentless work ethic, which not only helps her in science but birthed an interest in creating realism.

Her medium of choice usually varies, but is usually one or more of the following: digital, graphite pencil, coloured pencil, watercolour, or alcohol-based markers.

"Willow" featured in HOME Manchester's Manchester Open Exhibition 2020 (18th January 2020 - 17th March 2020). Due to the gallery's fondness for the piece and artist's background, Nicola Lucy was asked to do press and thus the piece became featured on BBC One's North West Tonight and in an article by Cotton On Manchester.

"Be Patient With M.E" featured in HOME Manchester's Manchester Open Exhibition 2022 (21st January 2022 - 27th March 2022). The piece, which is autobiographical and based on the artist's own health conditions, was sold early on during the exhibition.
