Pedro Ramos

Pedro Ramos’s artistic practice is developed in the field of painting, using materials such as acrylic and oil bar on paper or canvas to produce abstract work, marked by different densities and layers that either overlap or reveal something underneath, given form by a technique of gestural repetition.

Born in 1988 in Porto, where he has established his studio practice. Significant works such as Smears (2018) and Seeds (2019) articulate a visual language of horizontal and vertical bands. Ramos has exhibited in group shows in London (2019) and Porto (2023) and at the recent solo exhibition, Gest (2025), at Olga Santos Galeria, Porto.
