Ignas Pledys

I am a Lithuanian currently living in London. Born in 1991 I lived in Lithuania until I left home when I was 17.
I draw and paint as a form of dealing with the world around me. My drawings and paintings come from a place of experimentation and I try not to think of how my finished work will end up looking, instead taking a more organic approach to my composition, color, shape and texture choices. Trying instead to reflect my current mood or thoughts into a piece of work.
I work with several mediums. Drawing with pencils and pens. Painting with gouache, acrylics and watercolors. I also produce digital art.
I take inspiration from my past, common everyday events, conversations with my friends and the experiences of my drug use.

I am self thought. I had no formal art related education, I was 14 when I quit my arts class.
