Polly is an abstract expressive artist living in Bristol, UK. Preoccupied by colour, light, texture and mark making, she draws inspiration predominantly from landscapes and the feelings these evoke. For Polly, painting is about an unfurling of energy, inspired by the land and sea. Her paintings begin in a gestural, intuitive way, before finding calm and resolution during the gradual build up of layers. They represent the ultimate escapism; a kind of dream-world which reflect seasonal changes.
