n this artwork, I sought to explore the dialogue between the real and the imaginary, using marble powder to create a dream-like texture that evokes both abstraction and expressionism. Geometric shapes intermingle with more fluid movements, evoking a dance between dream and reality. Some of the lines...

My interest in art was awakened during my childhood, near Auvers-sur-Oise, the birthplace of Impressionism. A passionate self-taught artist, I have conducted extensive research into art history, as well as artistic techniques and theories, in order to enrich and refine my practice. The desire to create and explore naturally led me to abstract acrylic painting. This visual language allows me to express emotions, to weave a poetry without words, open to its own interpretation. Abstract painting does not impose itself: it whispers, it suggests. It offers an open space where emotions, memories and personal interpretations can arise freely. Nothing is fixed, everything evolves according to the moment, the emotion, the silence and the time. In addition to this practice, there is another facet of my work: the creation of semi-abstract landscapes. Halfway between figuration and abstraction, these canvases are a way for me to invite contemplation. They evoke serenity and inner calm, like a breath of fresh air in this hectic modern world, saturated with images and noise. With their gentle atmosphere, they offer a visual refuge, a pause for the mind. Each canvas is a space for research and exploration for me. I choose my colours carefully and thoughtfully, considering the harmony they will create together. Some are applied in thin transparent layers (glazes) to add depth. Others are applied with a spatula or knife, with more substance, to add contrast, density and a touch of raw energy. I also use elements such as sand or marble powder, which add a particular texture and stimulate the sense of touch, thus enhancing the sensory aspect of the work. I don’t just apply the colours: I stretch them, layer them or veil them until I find a balance that feels right to me. This work requires time, listening and great attention to the sensations that each gesture provokes. My inspiration comes from a variety of experiences and encounters, whether visual, human or sensory, sometimes unexpected, such as a conversation, nature, music, a film or a person. Whether abstract compositions or semi-abstract landscapes, I always seek to convey an emotion. What I paint takes on its full meaning in the freedom it offers the viewer: they are invited to take the time to contemplate and feel the work, allowing their imagination to be awakened.
