Ursula-Maren Fitz

Ursula-Maren Fitz was born in Dortmund/Germany. Ursula-Maren Fitz is nationwide wellknown as artist, for her paintings as well as for her sculptors and glass objects. In her work as a sculptor she creates smooth sensuous bronce torsoes and organic forms as well as torne, broken-up bodies or fragments thereof, fused together like through scars. - Impressions of remaining human injuries and irritations. New art works show combinations of glass with other materials as there are bronce, stone or wood. In her paintings she creates dynamic, strongly structured compositions in oil and mix-techniques on canvas or wood.

Ursula-Maren Fitz finished her accademic career with a state exam of teaching in the subjects Art and German Literature at the University of Dortmund and then continued to study Pure Art at the Art Accademie of Dusseldorf as a student of Prof. Lothar Kampmann. She now works as freelance artist in her studio close to her home in Waakirchen, Bavaria.Working independent since 1990, Ursula-Maren Fitz is member of numerous public Art Unions and Commitees such as "Berufsverband Bildender Knstler" and "BDK Berufsfachverband für Kunstpädagogik", gained major prizes as for example "Kunst und Bauen" for Bavaria and she constantly exhibits in numerous galleries, intitutions and public places.
