Piotr Wójtowicz

Born in 1958 in Stalowa Wola. A graduate of PLSP in Jarosław. Studied at the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow in studio of professor Jan Szancenbach and studio of drawing of professor Zbylut Grzywacz. Graphics learning in the intaglio studio of professor Mieczysław Wejman. He obtained a diploma with distinction in 1983. Deals with painting and drawing, as well as graphic design. He animates activities in the field artistic culture, cooperating as the curator with BWA galleries in Krosno, Piwnica PodCieniami – Muzeum Rzemiosła gallery in Krosno, the Gallery of Contemporary Art in Przemyśl, Podkarpackie Zachęta Society of Fine Arts in Rzeszów. He also cooperated with the Culture Club in Krosno, currently the Regional Centry of Border Cultures, supporting the amateur artistic movements, he initiated exhibitions of talents from this field of artistic activity. He prepares catalogues of exhibitions, writes articles and reviews the works of other artists. Since 1983, he has been working as a teacher at the Secondary School of Fine Arts in Krosno (earlier seated in Miejsce Piastowe), where or almost thirty years he has been the head of the art subjects section. He organised 28 individual exhibitions, among others, in Krakow, Bydgoszcz, Poznań, Kielce, Stalowa Wola, Sandomierz, Krosno, Cieszyn, Częstochowa, Nowy Sącz, Gorlice, Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski, Zakopane, Montpellier (France), Košice (Slovakia). He has particpiated in more than 50 collective local, national and international exhibitions. A laureate of international, national and regional competitions, among others 1st, 2nd and 6th International Biennial of Painting of Carpathian Region „Silver Quadrangle”, Przemyśl; Polish National Exhibition of Contemporary Painting „Jesienne Konfrontacje”, Rzeszów; Polish Art Salon „Homo Quadratus Ostroviensis”, Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski; the review of the art of the members of Rzeszów Region of ZPAP.
