Ruth Robertson

Ruth Robertson is well known in the Washington Metropolitan Area for
her figurative works. Her sensuous interpretation of the figure has
become a hallmark of her work. Although best known for her black and
white photographs of nudes she is also well known for her mixed media
works and paintings. Her work has received critical acclaim in the
Mid-Atlantic region where it has been heavily exhibited, and is highly
sought by collectors worldwide. Her work is also included in the
permanent collections of four museums.

Private collectors throughout the United States, Great Britain, Europe,
the Middle and Far East and Latin America have purchased Robertson's
work. Ruth Robertson is represented by commercial galleries in Atlanta,
GA, Dallas, TX, Los Angeles, CA, San Diego, CA and is self-representing
on the Internet. Robertson has exhibited her work at The Museum Of
Contemporary Art in DC, where the museum hosted a solo exhibition of
her work. Her photographs have been exhibited in Havana, Cuba. Her
series "In Conversation With Alesso Baldovinetti" was discussed on
WETA's Around Town in July of 2002.

Ruth Robertson lives and maintains a studio in the Washington, DC area of the United States. A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, she holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. A working studio artist, she works as a photographer, painter, printmaker and mixed media artist. Her work is included in many private collections worldwide. Her work has been sold world wide through sothebys.com.
