Ryan Hubbard

Ryan Hubbard is a self-taught artist residing in the Florida Panhandle. His background in philosophy drives his interest in art's capacity to explore the non-discursive, non-conceptual dimensions of human being.

"My work explores the moods, feelings, and emotions that form the undercurrent of human experience and embodiment. My background in philosophy acts as a subtle backdrop to the content and meaning of my paintings. I often attempt to evoke feelings of depth, wonder, and mystery in my art -- the same feelings experienced in contemplative thinking. The advantage of art is its capacity to express and explore the ineffable. I attempt to capture this ineffable quality of human experience."
