Painting and printmaking over decades, I live in Durham, UK. My work is in response to my surroundings, and in the past few years my focus has been particularly on painting landscapes with varying degrees of abstraction, recreating atmosphere.

March 2025 my work was selected for the Jackson’s Art Prize extended long list. 12,964 entries were submitted, from 129 countries,so the selection process was incredibly competitive. Artists on the Extended Longlist of 3,168 works, are in the top 25% of entries.

Through 2023 several of my works were purchased for luxury interior design projects across England.

I am currently creating a series of abstract landscape paintings inspired by rail travel in northern England.
