After a 25-year career commissioning and leading health and social care services, in 2018 Sena decided to follow his passion for art.
Sena works with felt fabric using its texture and vibrant colours to produce distinctive abstract and optical art. Some designs incorporate changing geometric shapes while others hold powerful positive words. His geometric pieces are influenced by colours and patterns found in nature- sun, sea, water and flora and also architectural geometry. Sena continues to develop new designs and techniques to create hand crafted limited series in editions of between 6-10.
Sena has found a unique way of merging felt fabric with a paper thin reflective material (mirrors) creating a lenticular effect -causing the art to transform as the viewer sees it from left to right.
Sena believes that art should not be static -it should encourage the viewer to interact and find moments that echo their feelings and encourage positive emotions. The best way to fully appreciate the magic is to see the art in person and move left to right to see the fantastic changes.
