Sherri Colter

Passionate about art Colter studied design in fashion at Ryerson University in Canada. Honing in on print and illustration she perfected her creative talents focusing on form, portraiture, and colour palettes.

After completing a BA in fashion and graduating at the top of her class, Colter moved to NYC working for Anna Sui exercising her artistic skills. She later migrated to London where she worked for lucrative fashion houses such Erdem and Peter Pilotto.

"Throughout my career I have not been able move away from my artistic passion. My love of expression through collage, print and painting has led me to experiment with textures. This has allowed me to merge my two loves, art and design, leading me to focus on print design and embroidery development. The result was the launch of my own womenswear label COLTER in 2019, merging art and fashion."

Colter's label is a blend of print design, illustration and intricate embroidery. It's a unique modern take on the artistry of traditional tapestries designed as couture gowns.

COLTER is the essence of art in design.
