Sonjie Feliciano Solomon

My studio practice is materials and process driven and the works I create reflect my background in industrial design. I gravitate toward clean, simple and abstract compositions and am interested in the play between designed and organic elements.

What’s most important to me is creating a process which becomes a metaphor for a specific experience or emotion. The resulting pieces become an artifact of that process. It’s my hope that my work may serve as a touchstone for a quiet moment of meditation or gratitude. In thinking about what inspired me to create the works, it invites you to do the same for your own life.
