Instead of listening to the voices in my mind that have always helped me handle the technique of painting, I am listening to the voices in my heart. Nothing is predictable any longer. I rely on what I know about painting and my heart is leading me to develop images that I never thought possible. Tara Funk Grim has been painting for over 30 years and her work is featured in two new books - 100 Plein Air Painters of the Mid-Atlantic and AcrylicWorks 2: Radical Breakthroughs.
The challenge of inspiration and expanded possibilities makes the beginning of each painting a leap of faith. Completion is often astonishing.
