Paddy Lennon

I am a professional Fine Artist living and working in Wexford ,Ireland.
I studied Fine Art in City and Guilds of London Art School ,graduating with 1st class Honours.
I have to date show my work in 39 One Person shows Wordwide.
The Abstract Expressionist notion that a painting should speak for itself seems best suited to describe my approach to my Art practise.
Divining meaning from my Paintings is not a simple thing and thats as it should be .If observed in a sensitive way,the observer will see my work as an expression and a stimulus to the imagination.
In much the same way as Music,my paintings express the inexplicable.Understanding my work is personal.It involves a process of looking and being open to allowing the work to get inside oneself.

My school education was of the school of grief kind .I attended Christian Brothers Schools till the age of 16 before being released into the world .I took to educating myself thereafter and am forever grateful to the Worlds of Literature ,Film and Fine Art and Music for their assistance and inspiration.
I later completed 4 years Higher Education in Fine Art at City and Guilds of London Art school .A great time in my life and an eye opener to the magical world of Fine Art.I obtained a 1st with Honours.
