Tom Dowse

Tom Dowse (b.Kent, 1982) graduated from the Royal College in 2012 and now lives and works in London. The main focus of his work is drawing but he is constantly looking to expand the ways he uses drawing with different media. He, so far, has worked in print, animation, ceramics and textiles.
His work derives from his experiences of the low wage, dead end jobs he had when he was growing up, spliced together with the pulp sci-fi literature and punk music he fed himself to survive them. Part auto-biography, part fantasy, he uses drawing to bring back to life characters and memories that otherwise wouldn't have a chance to exist.
