Tony Roberts

Tony Roberts was born in Kent in 1946. His professional career as an artist started early, working with pen and brush as a young monk. Now, in retirement and long out of monastic life, his artistic practice has greatly expanded, including glass sculptures and canvas works in private and public collections worldwide, mostly to commission. Much of his current work involves multiple disciplines and media in each single work.

Tony’s artist career started with illustrative calligraphy and stained glass training In monastic traditions... much later, now with family and qualifications in engineering, he studied sculpture and public art, and spent many years teaching at university.
