Victor Mashaal

The art of portraiture can be achieved using different forms most popular of which is photography and paintings.
My choice is the creation of portraits using oil on canvas and ink on paper. This allows me to express my love of art into something very personal.
I believe that although an image of oneself or a model can be made in other ways, there is something about the sight of a painted portrait that evokes a long-lasting, even timeless quality.
As such, my painted portraits have a sense of longevity that other mediums are just not able to match.
The resultant image is one that encompasses a visual representation of an image and feelings of the model and the artist
