I am a classical artist based in Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa. I as a figure painter see the human form as something so expressive and beautiful.

After finishing school at Kearsney College in the 70's, I studied fine arts at DUT and UKZN where I realised that I had no interest in abstract art but had a passion for the figure and classical art. I did not pursue art as a career immediately - I went on to start my own advertising agency, worked in marketing, invented the first commercially viable Prepayment Water Metering System in the world, and lived in the UK for a few years. I did, however, airbrush Harley Davidsons and continued to paint leisurely.

It was only after a life-threatening motorbike crash when I had a flashback to my first motorbike accident in varsity and my lecturers encouraged me to pursue being an artist and not motocross, that I began painting more seriously to help me with my recovery. My influences include classical artists, Greek sculptures, Aristotle's theories, Caravaggio, Rembrandt, Romantics, and Neo Classicists. I creates airy and life-like painting by layering and overlaying colours and shades with oils and glazes.
