Lisa Mahony

Painting, is how I communicate with the world. It is a conversation, a poem, a story I am painting of a specific moment. I work en plein air and in the studio. I have been fortunate to have been winning awards and recognition for my work in the past couple of years, helping me to play more with composition and subject matter. 2019 -Exhibiting at Santa Paula 82nd Annual Art Show "Lavender Fields Forever"
2019- Won 1st Prize in the Atrium Gallery Treasures Show for "Sailing Out of the Harbor"
2018 -Won 3rd Prize in the Santa Paula Arts with Judy Klement & VACE Show with “It Used to be More Fun”
2018- Opening of the Cole Creativity Center, exhibited 3 paintings and created 4 murals with approximately 40 kids, Mixed Media, a Live Event
2018- July-August- Solo Show on Teaching and Weekly Create with Me Project, 8 mini murals at Blanchard Library
2018- September- Group Show with Artists Guild of Fillmore
2017 – 2018 Museum of Ventura County – twice a month attended figure drawing workshops in the museum or at a local brewery, using colored pencil, digital and pastel
2017- Exhibited twice on the Museum of Ventura County’s Website for Figure Drawing
2018- Exhibition with the Fillmore Artist’s Guild at the Ojai Art Center
