Zekiye Karayilan

I usually like to paint figures and empty spaces around them. As Matisse said, my choice of colors does not rest on any scientific theory; it is based on observation, on feeling, on the experience of my sensibility.
When a painting is finished I love to see those figures and forms starting to create their own existence.
My works are included in private collections throughout Australia, France, Mexico, Romania and the United States.
