John Thomas

John Thomas (b.1991). Aim to explore the essence of form and the power of simplicity. Stripping away the noise of color and detail. I focus on the raw, unadorned beauty of the subject. This work invites viewers to fill in the gaps with their own interpretations and experiences, creating a unique dialogue between the art and the observer.

The First Strokes I discovered the magic of lines and shapes. My fascination with shadows led me to experiment with charcoal—its velvety texture, its ability to evoke depth. I’ve yet to capture the perfect portrait—the one that mirrors both the subject and the artist.
