Lelde BRAKE-KLAVERI is a professional artist from Latvia. She graduated from the Art Academy of Latvia (MA Arts), studied at the Academy of Art & Design (AKI) (Netherlands), and participated in the painting master class of the well-known German artist Jorg Immendorf.
Lelde has had solo and group exhibitions in Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Netherlands, France, Germany, and Spain. In 2021, she received a Diploma of Recognition from the USA Online Art Gallery as a winner of competition “Landscape 2021” and received an award in the International Juried Art Competition in Malaysia.
Lelde works mainly combining painting techniques with graphic elements using a manual serigraphy. In her works she often uses symbolic language to reflect universal themes (such as the perpetuity of time, the duality of the world and the beauty of nature) and seeks out harmonious tonal solutions.
