Mirjam Auf Der Mauer

Germany based painter and professionally trained paintings conservator Mirjam Auf der Mauer, works in numerous different media, ranging from oil, acrylics, watercolor, to spray paints and markers. She is interested in the physicality of art materials, their inert character and possibilities. Mirjam has been developing her transcendental figurative painting over the past several years and continues to experiment with new materials and concepts. Her paintings are a tribute to man’s eternal spiritual nature and tend to have a pleasant ephemeral atmosphere, which convey faith, optimism and inner strength.
Mirjam has a multi-ethical background from South Africa and Germany and has embraced Hindu spirituality for her personal faith. Born in Berlin, Germany, Mirjam lived in London, Amsterdam, New York, Frankfurt and recently moved her studio to rural Germany near Frankfurt.
