At a young age I moved from my native Austria to Asia. I took 888 pictures of ordinary life in the Middle Kingdom. Sometimes I like to manipulate photos with bright colours. 8 is a very suspicious number in Chinese culture. This number brings luck. Now I live on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada on the traditional and unceded Territory of the Coast Salish Peoples, the traditional territory of the Snaw - naw - as First Nation. I love to take pictures of the beautiful scenery on this island in the Pacific Ocean. Sometimes I like to play with colours here as well. My cover photo shows tree art in Nanoose Bay, my favourite place down on the water. In the late 1970’s and early 1980’s I also took a lot of black and white pictures in Europe and also in the USA. I love to share these very unique photos now as well.
