I learned to draw as a child; my teacher was my sister. I studied some art in college but was a biology major; this has influenced my work. For years I participated in many Florida outdoor art festivals. My husband is a retired environmentalist and together we have traveled throughout Florida and the Caribbean. The beauty and intricacy of nature never ceases to fascinate and provides an endless inspiration for my work.
I have also studied music and use this as an inspiration for my work. I have composed, performed and produced music, available on several platforms, and also wrote the score to the award-winning documentary "A Mass of Wine."
I have also finished the illustrated novel "The Kingdom of the Shell" (the novel also has original music).
