Phil Gleason

Born in Austin, MN 1978. I have been interested in art as long as I can remember pushing my boundaries wider since I began to draw seriously at age 9. Now I have entered into a world of endless mediums and limited time.

e laws and the struggle man has endured to understand them. Even though we may fool ourselves or others into thinking that we have opposed natural law, nature still rules. The idea that humans can affect nature is anthropocentric. My work speaks of the antithesis; with the idea that we cant simply fix anything in nature, rather, we need to perceive answers for these issues sooner than they occur.
Magnetism, gravity, holograms, mirrors, levity, and hidden mechanics are used to simulate this false impression. The effect makes these mysteries believable and authentic. My pieces inspire one to look closer until the trick becomes lucid. Like learning a magicians trick or neAdaptive Perception
Reality is ambiguous, and perception is personal. Our ability to review and revise our beliefs based on an ever changing global society will be important for future generations.
