Rande Barke

The process of creating a new painting is, for me, both intensely involved and time consuming. I have always sought in my abstract work to capture the intangible realm where abstraction and representation intersect; creating an image scape where pictorial devices like the suggestion of horizon line and atmospheric perspective can influence the viewer’s interpretation of this connection and provoke an unrestrained and free-form visual dialogue.
