Carol Aslin

Born in Zimbabwe, moved to Zambia at 5 years old and have lived in Africa, America and England. .
2010 I have started on the art of etching and out of this has come a series I call "Journeys" It combines death, afterlife and present life and how we travel through it.

I have studied at Art Students League in New York and Parsons School of Design in New York.. I have studied in the studio of artist Ernst de Jong. in Pretoria South Africa. I have had 15 exhibitions to date, all in Zambia and one in South Africa.. My first solo exhibition at Alliance Francaise in April 2008 was very successful and a sell out. My second solo exhibition in 2009 also at Alliance sold very well. In 2010, I concentrated mainly on learning the art of etching and had an etching exhibition with 4 other print makers at Alliance Francaise in Lusaka at the end of the year.. I also submitted paintings into 3 other joint exhbitions in 2010. In 2011 I am back to painting and etching working towards a solo exhibiton on the series called "Journeys" .. My paintings are now in various private collections all over the world.
