Rou Anne Stephenson

RLN (Rou Anne) is a contemporary South African artist whose practice is rooted in transformation and creative renewal. After building a successful corporate career, she chose to return to her lifelong passion for art during the global Covid-19 pandemic, allowing her work to become both a personal sanctuary and a means of storytelling.

Her paintings are expressive and textured, often created with palette knives, acrylics, and mixed media. Inspired by the rhythms of South Africa’s West Coast, RLN captures contrasts—calm and turbulence, strength and fragility, order and release. Each artwork reflects her journey of rediscovery and her ability to translate emotion into form.

Collectors are drawn to RLN’s ability to blend structure with spontaneity, creating works that feel both contemporary and timeless. Her art is now featured on Saatchi Art and continues to be collected by private collectors worldwide.
