Stewart Fletcher’s paintings, drawings, and works on paper have been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions over the past forty years. His artwork is included in several private collections across more than 20 countries and all 36 states in the United States.
Fletcher is known for his fascination with the human body and explores various concepts that go beyond mere representation. He believes that the removal of clothing serves as a great equalizer, stripping away identifiers and societal statuses to reveal the true self. While Fletcher does not consider his work to be erotic, some viewers perceive it that way due to their social, religious, or regional backgrounds. He often employs humor and satire to express his views on the world around him.
Stewart Fletcher has a degree in Fine Arts from John Abbott College and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Concordia University.
