Gregor Kufel

He has been creating regularly since 2017, although his first paintings date back to the 1990s. In his work, he combines experiences from various fields of art, drawing inspiration from graphic design, posters, comics, classical painting, photography, collage, and street art. He values spontaneity and the creative freedom of childhood, experiments with styles, and utilizes his background as a graphic designer while embracing the latest technologies.

His artistic journey has developed independently—he has no formal art education, and painting is for him a result of his fascination with the image, both in terms of form and decoration, as well as its conveyed meaning. In his works, he juxtaposes contrasts—order and chaos, tradition and modernity, harmony and tension—creating worlds on the borderline between abstraction and figuration.
