Lane a'Day, BFA, MA, is a third generation classically trained painter who began practicing formalized painting in 1984. Lane has experience providing formal academic instruction at charter arts schools, public schools and a commercial studio. Lane obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art Studio (fine art painting) from the eminent Dept. of Art and Art History, University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Lane has shown in regional and national shows and won sweeping regional class/division awards. In 2018, before the Docent Council, Lane presented a 30-minute slide discussion, A Painter’s Day, at The Haggin Museum. Since 2013, Lane has published multiple fine art and instructional practice art books and several video shorts. Lane is a member of Laguna Plein Air Painters Association (LPAPA), American Impressionist Society (AIS), and National Oil, Acrylic Painters' Society (NOAPS) and the California Art Club (CAC) with local guild association at the Transit Arts Gallery in Oil City, PA. Lane consults and assists in the organization and development of not-for-profit arts organizations. Lane has juried shows and lectured on visual art findings.
