Born in Recife, Brazil, in 1979, Jefferson Pacheco learned to draw from his maternal aunt as a child and never stopped practicing. As a teenager, he was influenced by his father's architectural plans; he was a builder and wanted the artist to follow his career path. Jefferson partly followed in his father's footsteps as an entrepreneur, but he never abandoned the desire to one day work in art. He was always interested in studying Van Gogh, Cézanne, and other great masters. It was only in 2016, shortly after his mother's death, that he developed depression, seeing a friend's painting as a way out of the abyss he was in. Painting was his hope for treatment. It was at the age of 37 that he discovered he had a talent for painting, and he did so in pursuit of his health. Self-taught, the emerging artist has been painting since 2016 everything he finds beautiful to his eyes and mind, always bringing the vibrant colors of Brazil to his canvases.
