At the core of my artistic practice lies an exploration into the ontological and phenomenological strata of the concept of memory. My work meticulously examines the frames within which human consciousness constructs and transforms recollections, while simultaneously tracing the elusive fragments of fading, ephemeral segments on the brink of erasure. Journeying through the labyrinthine passages of memory, I investigate the traces of images that evolve or vanish under the corrosive impact of time. In this process, I delve deeply into how individual and collective memory manifests its existence within the ambiguous borderlands between reality and fiction. My objective is to articulate, through artistic expression, that memory is not merely a repository of the past but a dynamic construct actively shaping the present moment and the future. In this context, I aim to convey, on both visual and conceptual planes, the spatial arrangements of memories within the mental topography and their processes of perpetual reconstruction. Having lived in Balkan countries, my exposure to diverse cultures significantly broadened my artistic vision. I currently reside in Turkey, where I continue my artistic production in my studio. Concurrently, I am pursuing my academic career.
