Bill Hoopes

I was born in Germany in 1951 and grew up in both the US and Europe. I emigrated to Canada in 1981, and currently live and work on Bowen Island just off the coast from Vancouver, British Columbia.

I paint primarily in oil. Much of my work portrays the delicate balance that exists between humanity and the environment. I utilize a classical approach to image-making to draw the viewers' attention to contemporary concerns.
