Mercédès Soret approaches painting with a deep passion, drawing inspiration from the world of sculpture. Her artistic journey is marked by the search for intersections between traditional arts and contemporary approaches, allowing her to create unique works that engage with the past and present.

The artist has chosen the quality of oil to work transparently, create color gradients, or accentuate contours, depending on the subject that inspires her. Oil painting, rich in history and expressive depth, allows her to capture the subtle nuances of her subjects while giving them a contemporary dimension.

Using digital techniques, Mercédès Soret transforms these sculptures into dynamic and colorful works. This approach allows her to breathe new life into objects from the past, reinterpreting them through the prism of her artistic sensibility. The vivid colors and pure forms allow her to create works that capture attention and evoke emotion.

She masterfully combines traditional oil painting techniques with a contemporary sensibility, creating works that are both familiar and innovative.

Her works reflect the interplay between art, history, and society, showing how objects from the past can be reinterpreted to fit our times.

A graduate in Musicology, with a option in art history, she first taught piano in various schools and musical associations in her native region. In 2006, she decides to devote herself fully to drawing and painting, which she had practiced since childhood.
