One of my greatest joys is walking along the water each day. I am continually inspired by the beauty and healing capacities of the natural world, and I hope that my paintings can provide a sense of calm, peace and connection. I believe that art has the ability to inspire and uplift, and I am dedicated to creating work that has this power. My compositions begin as loose washes in a minimal color palette that build into translucent layers as the painting evolves. I utilize the white of the canvas as a light source, which gives a certain glow from within. Every brush stroke, color, erasure and addition are part of a give and take. The painting leads the way and you will often find a bit of chance in my work. I studied painting at Stockton University and currently live along the beautiful NJ Bayshore, a constant source of inspiration.
