Everett Day

Everett resides in Miami Beach, Florida, where he finds inspiration in the sea, the tropical colors, and the Art Deco architecture.
Everett Day was born in the Southern Californian town of Loma Linda and grew up in the nearby city of Riverside, where his father was a prominent Professor and Botanical Scientist at the University of California, Riverside. Everett's drawing and painting talents were apparent from an early age, as was his interest in gardens and ornamental plants. His father encouraged his interest in these fields, later suggesting that he combine his two endeavors through the study of Landscape Architecture. Everett went on to take his B.S. Degree in Landscape Architecture from California Polytechnic State University, Pomona, Calif.
Another decisive input into his artistic development and personal evolution came from the meeting of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi the summer after graduating from University in 1974. Maharishi, the famous Indian teacher and guru of Vedic philosophy, brought to the world the technique of Transcendental Meditation, practiced to this day by millions of people worldwide, including many well known artists and celebrities such as the Beatles, film director David Lynch, Oprah, Ellen Degen...
