Fiorenza Gorini
started her professional artistic career in the San Francisco Bay Area in 2008, perfecting a variety of techniques and subjects in college and then with local and national mentors.
Her interest has been drawn mostly to the human figure. Her literature research background has strongly influenced her story-telling themes, often referencing elements of western culture and myths, where women are central characters.
Figure painting has allowed her to experiment over time different stylistic approaches, “moving freely from a more representational style to a more abstract direction and vice-versa, simply following the inspiration of the moment”.
Along with the narrative thread, she draws her attention on geometric abstraction and synthesis, as she focuses her creative process on design and color mixing, but also enjoys the unpredictable results of unplanned and spontaneous production of organic shapes: “behind the creative process I always feel a sense of mystery and excitement”.

Fiorenza Gorini was born and raised in Milan, Italy, where she graduated in language arts with a research thesis on the woman-animal metamorphosis in French literature. She worked as a French Literature teacher before moving to San Francisco Bay Area in 2006. In 2008 she began her professional artistic career.
